Zak Fathi retiring from the Board of Directors
Dr. Zak Fathi joined the board of the National Inclusion Project (NIP) in November 2011 and provided thoughtful guidance and analysis in all areas of our operations for the past 5 years. Dr. Fathi acted as project lead on numerous strategic efforts and served on the Governance and Investment Committees during his tenure. In addition to these valuable contributions, Dr. Fathi also played a key role in the recruitment efforts resulting in the hiring of our current Director of Community Outreach, Director of Development and Marketing, and Executive Director.
Dr. Fathi is a leader in multiple technical fields, including work with Nike, Lord Corporation, Corning and is deeply involved with researchers at Duke advancing technology applications in cancer research. His keen understanding and analytical analysis have served the Project effectively during his tenure, and we are very lucky to have had him in our corner and championing inclusion for as long as we did.
Zak, your influence and commitment to inclusion can be seen in every element of the NIP. It’s difficult to explain how much your contribution as a board member has impacted us over the years, but we’d like to try by promising to continue working towards the reality where all children can experience everything that life has to offer – a principle that you helped instill across the NIP family over the past half-decade. We are a better organization because of your service, and we’re forever grateful.
