LET'S ALL PLAY SUCCESS STORIES
Matthew's Camp Story
When Matthew first started camp, he was extremely hesitant and uncomfortable being in his assigned group. Due to impulse control and sensory processing challenges, Matthew needed a lot of extra structure, boundaries, and individualized attention in order to feel comfortable enough to participate in camp activities.
With National Inclusion Project’s help, we were able to provide Matthew with the staffing and support he needed to not just participate, but ultimately CONNECT with his fellow campers.
In less than a week, we watched Matthew progress from needing continual support and encouragement to initiating conversations with counselors, advocating for himself, and eagerly staying and participating with his group. It was truly an amazing and inspiring transformation to witness.
Thank you National Inclusion Project for helping us make a difference for Matthew.
