Palm Beach, FL-The Bubel/Aiken Foundation (TBAF) and entertainer/recording artist Clay Aiken will be hosting its first annual Golfing for Inclusion charity golf tournament, January 7, 2008 at Mirasol Country Club, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
The event, co-hosted by Clay Aiken and PGA professional Wayne Player, was made possible in part through the support of John Hancock and American Portfolios Financial Services, among others. The tournament will raise funds to help support The Bubel/Aiken Foundation’s Let’s All Play program which brings the summer camp experience to children with and without developmental disabilities.
“Golfing for Inclusion is a great way to swing into 2008. And it is also a great way to raise awareness and resources that will help children experience all life has to offer. We’d like everyone to join us for world-class golf, fabulous prizes, a post-golf celebration, silent and live auctions, spectacular entertainment, and in doing so help us raise funds to broaden the horizons of children with special needs,” said Aiken.
Aiken co-founded TBAF in 2003. Since then, the Foundation has served to bridge the gap that exists between young people with special needs and the world around them. TBAF supports communities with inclusive programs and together with those communities creates awareness about the possibilities that inclusion can bring.
Let’s ALL Play brings children with developmental disabilities the same camp experience as those without disabilities. With this unique program, children come together to participate in activities such as swimming, arts and crafts, community service, physical fitness and more. Through the Foundation’s support, Let’s ALL Play has continued to grow since its inception in 2004. The Foundation’s goal is to continue to expand the program to benefit more and more children.
